HISTORY OF THE COMPANY

1910's
1911-Founded by Naohide Takeuchi in Fukagawa, Tokyo, who succeeded in producing a suction engine in Japan. Products were exported.
1917-Production of air compressors, air turbines and Washington pumps began. -
1920's
Orders received for drinking water distillation equipment and cooking mess cars from the Japanese army.

1930's
1935-The current Sunamachi factory was completed. Production of 65 to 400 horsepower diesel engines, diesel power generation units and diesel powered air compressors began. A large number or orders were received from overseas.

1940's
1942-Incorporated with an initial capital of 2.5 million yen, and Naohide Takeuchi assumed the position of president.
1943-Designated as a military supply factory, and the production of 550 horsepower engines began.
1946-Successful development of heat exchangers for engine use; production of equipment for GM and Cummins began. -
1950's
1953-New equipment added to the heat exchanger factory, and license production of engine-use intercoolers for Sulzer and MAN B&W began.
1960-Hideya Takeuchi assumes position as president. -
1960's
1963-Suction develops Japan's first LPG re-liquification compressor.
1965-Intercoolers and aftercoolers for large turbocharger compressors developed. -
1970's
1979-Main air compressors and anti-vibration equipment for use in destroyer-class warships developed and delivered to the Japan Self Defense Agency.

1980's
1985-Development of modular design TCZ series air compressors completed, and sales began.
1987-Series of high performance intercoolers and aftercoolers for turbo compressor use completed. -
1990's
1993-Succeeded in developing a reciprocating-type vibration-less compressor (patented) and delivered to the Japan Self Defense Agency.
1997-Developed the world's first low temperature differential Stirling engine which that achieved one horsepower of driving force from a temperature differential of 100 degrees C. -
2000's
Developed the first compressor for use in hydrogen stations for fuel cell automobiles. Used in WE-NET Project and JHFC Project of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
2003-Makoto Takeuchi assumes position as president.
2006-Developed the indirect heating low temperature difference Stirling engine for wood biomass combustion. Achieved 10.4 kW output power. -
2010's
2014-Delivered wood biomass CHP power generation equipment to the Omachi Citizen's Exchange Center in Minamisoma City.
2019-Started delivering ultra-compact hydrogen compressors for on-site hydrogen generation. -
2020's
2022-Reliquefaction compressor used for large ammonia carriers.
